Start as Working Student

Working students work in a company alongside their studies. If you are studying computer science or a similar subject and enjoy programming software – you might be a good fit for us.

As a working student, you will be fully integrated into our work processes, learn to think strategically, to present, to manage projects, and acquire soft skills such as dealing with colleagues, behaviour under stress and the ability to accept criticism.

Working student status ensures that you keep more money from your job, because as a working student you do not have to pay health, nursing care and unemployment insurance contributions.


There are two main conditions that must be met before you can be registered as a working student and benefit from the working student privilege:
  • You must be enrolled in a full-time programme of study (not on a leave semester).
  • You are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week (more is possible during the semester breaks).

Your area of responsibility as a Working students

  • You support us in developing applications in the M2M/IoT environment – depending on your interests and previous knowledge in one or more areas
    • Embedded & Edge: Linux-based applications for IoT devices that connect machines and process data directly on site.
    • Backend & Cloud: Cloud-based Java applications and interfaces that connect devices, data and services.
    • Frontend: Modern web applications that make complex data understandable and devices intuitive to operate.
    • AI: Integrating AI features into our applications and using AI tools to develop, test and improve our software.
  • You take part in training courses and continue your education independently.
  • You develop software in a team with tools like GitLab, Maven, Node, JIRA, Confluence, and others.
  • You support our customers in ongoing projects.

Your profile

  • You have already gained some initial experience in software development and want to deepen your knowledge in practice.
  • New technologies make you curious, you like tinkering with solutions and enjoy solving real problems with technology.
  • You work reliably, independently and enjoy being part of a team. You would rather share knowledge than keep it to yourself.
